► INSULT TO INJURY: At least one University of Georgia football fan claims to have had more to be disgruntled about than the team's Saturday loss to the University of Colorado Buffaloes. In a letters-to-the-editor blog in the Boulder Daily Camera, Monticello resident and 1983 UGA grad John Brown Jr. wrote, in part:

Though the outcome of the game was not to my satisfaction the Buffaloes are to be commended for their effort in defeating my beloved Bulldogs. Folsom Field is certainly a beautiful place to enjoy a college football game.

However, our trip to Boulder was marred by the behavior of the University of Colorado student body. In my over thirty years of attending University of Georgia football games I have visited countless venues both within the Southeastern Conference and other conferences. Yet, in none of those locales have I heard such coarse profanity as I heard from the Colorado student body while in the stadium on Saturday evening.

Further, after the ballgame walking back to our vehicle we were subject to countless profane insults which decorum and civility prevent me from repeating. Such conduct is not acceptable in any setting in our society and certainly reflects poorly on your institution.

So there.
